EASY CHOCOLATE CAKE
Chocolate Cake: 3 cups flour 1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened) 2 cups brown sugar 1 tsp salt 1 tbsp natural coconut vinegar 2 tsp baking soda 2 cups warm coffee 2/3 cup extra virgin coconut oil OR light olive oil 1 tbsp vanilla essence Instructions to make the Chocolate Cake: - In a bowl, whisk together all the your dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, salt) - In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients (coffee, vinegar, vanilla essence, olive oil) - Then whisk all together into a batter. (It's fine for the batter to be slightly lumpy). - Preheat oven to 175˚C. Butter and spread flour or use oil paper on two 9" pans and divide the batter equally into both pans. - Bake for roughly 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. - Ensure the cakes have completely cooled on a cooling rack before adding the frosting.
